Sunday morning connections with our brothers and sisters in Christ, coffee with a friend going through a difficult time, home groups instructing and discipling one another, focused counseling dealing with a specific and immediate crisis … each of these can and should be handled biblically within the local church. Why were we doing it?
Canadian church leaders strongly desire to counsel those in their congregations and communities in ways that are biblical and practical. This desire has seen a steady increase in biblical counselling within Canada. Founded in 2015, the Canadian Biblical Counselling Coalition exists to advance biblical counselling in Canada by creating awareness, equipping leaders, and facilitating connections between Canadians who are counselling biblically.
