ABC Level 2, Bachelor of Social Work
It is my mission to help women see the sin and suffering in their story and in the world around them through the eyes of Christ, the one who promises to “make all things new”. I believe that the weaknesses women face in their body and soul are intrinsic to their human design, used by God to invite them to a relationship with him in which they are known deeply, and can know him deeply. God speaks to women through scripture, prayer, wise counsel, and the Holy Spirit to bring about a life of worship and real, lasting change.
I counsel women experiencing difficult or complex situations, in which I prioritize safety for her and her children. I value the opportunity to strengthen the relationship between my counselee and her local church and I am available to support her as an advocate in processes of church discipline/restoration, working with pastors, elders, and other counsellors.
I have professional experience counselling in cases of destructive marriages, abusive relationships, childhood sexual abuse, self-harm, suicidality, traumatic experiences, mental health diagnosis, anxiety, depression, grief, motherhood, and faith questions.
I hold a Level 2 certification with ABC and a Bachelor of Social Work .
I am a wife, and mother to three children. I enjoy camping, hiking, and volunteering in my church and school communities. I offer counselling in Elmira, Fergus, and the surrounding area, as well as online.
